'I have to look at what I think I know
   If I am to come closer to what I don't . .
.'

I don't like to give everything away; my fear of total revelation, gaping wide open vulnerability, and judgement, I suppose . . . This is my work as unprotected, uncloaked, as unguarded as I can present.

Shell as protection, as defence, as armour . . . I have many defences, I have built a shell; not as hard as it used to be, created over time to protect . . . unfortunately in the dark for a long time about destructive elements of these coping /defence mechanisms, their shadow cast over me and others . . . sharp and irritant materials have been used in construction, not just in the external of the pieces to create protection but are carried into the internal, as an element of harm, destructive energy. The mirror reflecting and revealing this internal state to which I was and still can be (on any given day) blind to.
